About

Thank you for visiting.

ssingul is a coined term derived from the first syllables of singularity—with a Korean emphatic 'ss' sound—symbolizing a blend of originality and individuality. It also reflects the identity of a solo digital creator (single) and evokes a sense of freshness, as in the Korean word gyul (귤), meaning tangerine.

I have a deep interest in Korean traditional music, particularly the gayageum, and I also enjoy reading, studying English, and exploring topics related to the internet and artificial intelligence.

This blog, “Sounds of Korea,” was created to share the beauty and cultural value of gugak (Korean traditional music) by offering basic knowledge, instrument introductions, and performance reviews. It began from a desire to better understand and promote our traditional sound.

I am committed to continuous learning and growth as ssingul.

Thank you.
